Dallas' Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training begins April 21st

The City of Dallas Office of Emergency Management will offer Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) classes for neighborhoods, community organizations or workplaces, starting Apr. 21 and Apr. 25. The free classes are taught by emergency personnel and cover basic emergency response skills.

City employees rescue co-worker submerged in White Rock Creek

Dallas - Two City of Dallas employees are credited with saving a fellow co-worker after he experienced an apparent medical emergency and lost control of his City truck, landing in White Rock Creek. Raul Alamillo, Jr. and Brent English were on their way to a job site when they noticed a submerged truck in the creek. Initially, the men continued to drive until they noticed the brake lights flash on and off and realized someone was still in the truck.
